There are still thousands of great value deals available for a quiet couples break this September. Last Minute Cottages has crunched the numbers to highlight the best value options on self-catering cottage and lodge stays in the UK.

The East Riding of Yorkshire is currently offering the best value at an average of £53 per person per night (pppn), 34% cheaper than the most expensive (Hampshire, £81) and 27% cheaper than the most popular by bookings (Cornwall, £73).*

The Welsh County of Powys deserves a special mention, as it is the only area to appear in our cheapest overall, cheapest dog-friendly and cheapest hot tub lists, whilst also making the list of most booked destinations.

Last Minute Cottages has analysed over 47 thousand holiday offers across the UK from over 20 suppliers for properties sleeping two.
